Koru-hk.com Contemporary Art is pleased to present three major sculptures by Italian sculptor, Livio Seguso . Seguso integrates glass, marble, granite and wood in an endless optical and poetic play. His elegant sculptures are borne from over fifty years of experimentation with technical process and materials.

Born in 1930 in Murano, where he still works, Livio Seguso began his life-long affair with glass from a very early age, fascinated by the inexhaustible appeal of that wonderful medium. His latest artwork, always used in combination with glass, exalt both the transparency of this material and the intensity of the light, and their ultimate purpose is to create an ideal union between intellectual rigor and the neatness of the volumes, between the sense of refined elegance and poetic imagination.

"....When I approach glass in its fluid state I am always deeply moved. My eyes attentively follow the movement of my medium while it is taking shape together with my idea. Making glass come to life is no easy task, but all difficulties vanish before the pleasure and emotion I feel when fire, which softens and moves forms, lets me reach the ideal dimension where my inner dream comes true: no difficulty can be an obstacle to the expression of the idea living within me." - Seguso
