JOHN EDGAR

-------------------------------------------------------

Born 1950, Auckland, New Zealand

-------------------------------------------------------

John was born in Auckland in 1950 and since 1977 he has been a sculptor exhibiting his work nationally and internationally. Working mostly with stone, sometimes in constructions together with metal and glass, his work investigates human interaction with resources in the modern world, and is recognised for its understanding of the ancient craft of stone working combined with a strong and timeless aesthetic. His stone sculpture is represented in private and public collections.
